Mission
The goal of the Conflict, Defense, and Security SIG is to link together SD researchers with an interest in building models of conflict, defense, and security issues including such topics as war, terrorism, insurgencies, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and state stability. There has been a great deal of work in quantitative models of political science and operations research relating to this area. However, with few exceptions, these models exclude feedback dynamics, limiting their explanatory power.
We hope to build a critical mass of SD researchers in this area, so please join us by contacting the Webmaster@ConflictSIG.org!
